YOU WILL BE:

  • offered a one-to-one interview with a Volunteers Placements Interviewer;
  • offered a convenient time and day for an interview;
  • treated with respect at all times, both on the telephone and in person;
  • dealt with promptly, efficiently and effectively (social workers, key workers, friends or family are encouraged to attend initial interviews with prospective volunteers who feel they need this added support);
  • asked to complete a registration and monitoring form, and to sign a declaration giving the Centre permission to pass on your details to organisations of your choice (all information is held in strictest confidence);
  • informed of as many relevant options as possible at your interview (in some cases, leaflets are available with information on voluntary organisations);
  • offered various alternative voluntary organisations to visit to help you make an informed decision;
  • shown our equal opportunities statement;
  • informed of our expectation of you and the commitment involved.
