Volunteer Centre Sutton and the BeConnected volunteer programme are excited to announce the engagement of Carshalton College students from Media Studies and Construction who are eager to utilize their newly acquired skills for local non-profit and charity organisations. Your organisation can access their time and skills in a variety of ways – contact us to find out how!
Media
Would your organisation benefit from the skills of media students? Talents range from Art & Design to Gaming, Photography, and Film. Projects can vary according to your organisation’s needs - promo videos, mural creation, interactive game/video for your website – these are just some of the projects that you could work with the students on.
Construction
Does your organisation need carpentry, building, brickwork, or other construction skills for a project or capacity building idea? Construction projects will be included in the curriculum of the class, with an instructor available at all times for support and to work with your organisation. Examples of projects include: sheds, fences, brick walls, landscaping/patio building and laying, and refurbishing housing.
